Cookie Policy

1. Short version
Kazi doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics of any kind. We do keep basic first-party usage analytics (see section 2) to understand how the board is used, but nothing that identifies you or follows you across visits.
2. Analytics we keep
Each page visit, search, and "Apply" click logs: the page or action itself, your device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), and your country, derived from your IP address via a local lookup on our own server. We never store your IP address, set an analytics cookie, or use any identifier that would let us link separate visits together. There's no way for us to tell that two visits came from the same person. These records are automatically deleted after 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
3. What we do use local storage for
Your browser's local storage (not a cookie, but similar in spirit: data kept in your browser rather than sent with every request) for two things:
- Remembering your light/dark theme choice, on every page.
- Keeping you signed in, if you have a designer account or are an admin reviewer (this doesn't affect regular visitors browsing or applying to jobs).
4. Third parties
Kazi loads one third-party script (the GSAP animation library, from a CDN) used only to animate the page. It doesn't track you or set cookies. Our analytics are entirely first-party and self-hosted; no visitor data is ever sent to a third party.
5. Managing this
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser's settings; this just resets your theme choice back to your system default.

We may update this policy as the site evolves.
